walgreens.com is the best!

I finally found my USB so I will be able to post pics soon! I can’t wait, and I can hopefully get started on my nail blog soon. Anyway I am currently obsessed with drugstore products. Drugstore makeup is completely different from what it was 8-10 years ago. Women of color had a hard time finding pigmented black eyeliner, pigmented eye shadows and foundation that matched their skin. Not only are drugstore brands offering department store quality products they are making them better too—many companies are making their nail polishes without the big 3 toxins (formaldehyde, toluene and DBP).

I am not even touching my Mac eye shadows as I reach more often for wet n wild, Maybelline, and NYX palettes. I recently discovered the joys of Walgreens.com website on cyber Monday—they offer free shipping with a $25 order and they occasionally have an extra percentage off. Currently they are offering twenty percent off of cosmetics with the code TWENTYOFF (exp Dec 11).

I bought some Maybelline eye studio goodies. Their color pearls eye shadows are amazing! I have Bronze Blowout which is a beautiful, pigmented bronze on one side and rose gold on the other. You can wear these eye shadows wet or dry. Walgreens has these on sale for around $4 and then an additional 20% off—can’t beat that!
The following blog has swatches of almost everything! http://www.secretsid.com/2010/02/nouveaux-fards-eye-studio-de-maybelline/
